A Plea
So I heard this Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam song (“The First Cut Is The Deepest”) on my iTunes shuffle today, and realized that the first few bars were sampled in some pop song that was all over the radio this past summer. BUT I CAN’T FIGURE OUT WHICH ONE AND IT’S DRIVING ME CRAZY. It sounds similar to the Flobots’ “Handlebars” but I’m fairly certain someone sampled this exact riff. Ideas?
